Friday's Friendly Fill Ins

It's time for the Friday fill ins which are hosted by Ellen at 15andmeowing.com and Lorianne at Four-Legged Furballs who provide the prompts in bold and the rest is by me.

1. It is a real blessing to be living in such a beautiful part of the world and just this morning I looked out the kitchen window to see a young deer in the neighbours garden.

2.The best part of last week was visiting the Highland Wildlife Park where we got to see Hamish the young polar bear and the Scottish wildcat kittens. Wildcats are endangered so it's really lovely to see a new generation playing in the sun.

3. Every summer, I love seeing the purple heather blanketing the countryside - it's my favourite colour so Scotland is the perfect place for me.

4. Once upon a time, a guy and a girl met, became friends, and 26 years after that first meeting they are more in love every day, and have three furry children including a princess, a horror, and a dog that thinks she's a cat.

  1. Hi Pam ... had a mixed bag of a week ... seems to be that way. Still had lunch out by a bay - delightful ... the 'bad Scottish broom' which is an invasive weed here is in full regalia! Getting the pool sorted out ... have had lots of other things going on ... but it's beautiful - not too hot now - though can be .. cheers Hilary

  4. Pamela,

I really, really want to visit our local zoo. We haven't been in many years. I hope that we can do that this summer. I often wonder how polar bear make it in warmer climates. Doesn't it get too warm for them in the summer? It's nice seeing captive animals placed in simulated wilderness surroundings instead of behind glass or caged. I enjoyed reading your fill-ins and am happy that you guys are ever bit as happy and more 26 years later! Thanks for dancing with me yesterday. Have a good week, my friend!

  5. Thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! Hamish is adorable! I just love bears. That purple heather is gorgeous. There is some sort of purple weed or wildflower that likes to grow in my yard each summer. I don't know what it is or why it's in my yard, but it will start to cover most or all of my yard in between mowings, and I love it. Have a wonderful week!
