Sparks

Sparks is hosted by Annie at McGuffy's Reader (visit to see everyone else's sparks) and her words are the best to use to explain:

"I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world!"

The aim is to post a positive quote, thought, poem, or verse. We never know what has brought a person to the point we meet them at, and what their experiences have been - I guess this is a bit like 'don't judge a book by it's cover'.

  1. Pam,

This is so true. We do not know what other people are going through and it's way too easy to pass quick judgement. We all need to cut folks a little slack because like the quote says, we don't know what someone is dealing with when they come off unfriendly or rude or standoffish or what have you. Thanks for the reminder. Great "Sparks"! Have a sparkletastic day!

    1. It always amazes me what some people are dealing with and no one has a clue - I see it regularly at work.
      Have a fabulous day.

  3. Yes, we never know what someone else's battle is, but sure enough there is probably one battle or another.

    Have a fabulous day. ♥

  4. So very true. Most people are so quick to pass judgement on others before they know the back story. We all have back stories to tell. Fantastic Spark this week.

  5. This is an awesome quote! It is so easy to believe that everyone else's life is easier than ours and they couldn't possibly know what we are going through. We do tend to judge people by face value and that is often far off the mark. Some of the most wonderful people I've met are nothing like my first impression of them, and once I get to know them I discover that they are fighting their own battles too. Life is like that.

  7. This is pure and simple wisdom. We do need to remember this. We are always able to be kind. We just need to remember that we are all in this together, no matter what. Hugs!
