So many places that I would love to visit that it was hard to decide which one to do. I could've chosen Prague, Florence, Ulan Bator, Salzburg, and the list goes on, but instead I've chosen St Petersburg in Russia.

1. Drink Vodka in it's home country.
2. Visit Smolenskoe Cemetery - there are several great sounding graveyards in the city, but this is one of the older ones.
3. Wander through the Hermitage Museum which is situated in the Winter Palace.
4. Marvel at the grandeur of the Grand Palace.
5. Reflect on the beauty of the Church of the Saviour on the Spilled Blood - the name alone is a reason to visit it. This is the church in the picture above with the iconic Russian domes.
6. Pose with the statue Monument to the Photographer.
7. Eat caviar on traditional Russian blinis (pancakes).
8. Soak in the creative vibes at the Street Art Museum.
9. Pay respects to the assassinated Czar Nicholas II in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul.
10. Be dazzled by the artistic beauty at the Faberge Museum.
Where would you like to visit that you've never been? So many places in this huge world of ours and it's nice to dream about visiting one day.
It's now late so I'll say Dasvidaniya (goodbye) and wish you all a wonderful day wherever you are.

ReplyDelete#8 & 10 - the street art museum sounds like a place I would visit & perhaps the faberge museum. they certainly know how to design museums - they always look so good.
have a lovely day.
Thanks for stopping by Lissa, and have a wonderful week.
DeleteWow, Russia, I haven't had the desire to go there just yet, even though I'm sure there are fantastic places to visit. In summer, that is.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that this one will actually happen in the next year or two - that would be several blog posts.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
We've had some friends in our yacht club visit here. They loved every minute.
ReplyDeleteYou're doing some very fun things on your visit.
I don't know where I'd want to visit, but it would have to be warm. I'm a fair weather kind of gal.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥
I'm hoping we do lots of fun things if we ever make it to this beautiful city.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
My daughter-in-law is headed home to St. Petersburg next month. My son thinks we should all go for a visit together. We would both love to go back, even with the visa hassle. Scotland is high on my list of places to visit.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to know that you would go back there Denise, and yes you must visit Scotland one day.
DeleteThat sounds like it would be a good trip. I hope you get to go someday.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed Ellen.
